1、What is the core difference between PET Film Label and PP Film Label? Which one should I choose?
PET and PP labels are both plastic label materials, but they differ greatly in performance and application scenarios. PET (Polyester) features high rigidity, ultra-high temperature resistance (-40℃~150℃), excellent chemical solvent resistance, and zero shrinkage deformation, with strong abrasion and tear resistance. It is suitable for harsh industrial environments, high-temperature processing, chemical contact and long-term outdoor marking. PP (BOPP) film is softer, with a maximum temperature resistance of only 80℃, poor solvent resistance and slight shrinkage. It is more suitable for daily commercial packaging with normal temperature and non-harsh environments. In short, choose PET for industrial high-standard durable labeling; choose PP for ordinary cosmetic, food and daily commodity packaging.
2、Is PET Film Label suitable for direct thermal printing?
Standard blank PET film labels are not compatible with direct thermal printing. Direct thermal printing relies on chemical color-changing coating on the label surface, while conventional PET materials have no thermal-sensitive coating and cannot react to heat to form patterns. PET labels are mainly applicable to thermal transfer printing, laser engraving printing, flexographic printing and screen printing, with clear printing and firm ink adhesion. 3、Do silver PET labels need overlamination? What is the difference between matte silver and bright silver PET?

For extreme scenarios such as long-term strong friction, frequent wiping, outdoor wind and sun exposure, and chemical frequent contact, we suggest adding protective lamination to extend service life.
