PE Film Self Adhesive Label Material | Polyethylene Film Label Stock

PE Film Label is flexible polyethylene-based self-adhesive film material, widely adopted for curved surface labeling, low-temperature environment packaging and disposable commodity marking. Compared with rigid PP and PET film, PE film features outstanding softness, conformability and excellent low-temperature resistance. It can tightly fit uneven, curved and flexible surfaces without warping or lifting. Our PE label materials deliver stable labeling performance for food cold chain, daily consumer goods, plastic packaging and flexible packaging industries.

Key Features of PE Film Label Materials

Our PE film label stock solves sticking problems on curved and flexible substrates, providing economical, low-temperature resistant labeling solutions for label converters and consumer goods manufacturers. Below are the core advantages of the PE film series:

1.Superior flexibility & conformability

Soft texture, good ductility, perfectly adheres to curved bottles, collapsible plastic containers and flexible packages. No curling or edge lifting after application.

2.Excellent low-temperature resistance

Stable performance under freezing and refrigeration conditions, suitable for cold-chain food marking, labels will not turn brittle or fall off under low temperature.

3.Waterproof & moisture-proof

Non-porous polyethylene structure, fully resist water and moisture erosion, avoid blistering and mildew in humid environments.

4.Lightweight & cost-effective

Lower raw material cost compared with PET and PP synthetic film, ideal choice for mass-production disposable packaging labels.

5.Good ink compatibility

Supports flexographic printing, screen printing, thermal transfer printing, clear printing effect and stable ink adhesion.

PE Film Label

Main Application Scenarios of PE Film Label Materials

Thanks to outstanding flexibility and low-temperature tolerance, PE film labels are commonly used for cold-chain food packaging, daily chemical plastic containers, flexible pouches and fresh produce labeling. The material can closely follow curved and deformable surfaces, effectively preventing label cracking and warping. It is widely adopted for short-term packaging identification requiring cost efficiency and reliable performance under freezing and humid conditions.

Cold-Chain-Frozen-Food-Packaging

Cold Chain & Frozen Food Packaging

PE film label is the preferred material for frozen and refrigerated food. It maintains good flexibility under -20℃ ~ 0℃ low temperature, and will not crack or peel off from plastic food boxes, frozen packaging bags, ice cream containers, fresh food trays. It can withstand frost, condensation and repeated temperature changes during cold storage and transportation, ensuring long-term clear product information.

Daily-Consumer-Goods-Plastic-Containers

Daily Consumer Goods & Plastic Containers

Many daily products adopt soft plastic bottles, curved plastic jars and collapsible tubes. Flexible PE labels can closely follow the deformation of plastic packaging. Widely used for shower gel, shampoo, detergent bottles, plastic household containers and disposable cleaning supplies. It avoids label warping caused by slight extrusion of plastic packaging.

Flexible-Packaging-Plastic-Bags

Flexible Packaging & Plastic Bags

Lightweight and stretchable PE material matches flexible plastic bags, composite film packaging. Suitable for shopping bags, food plastic pouches, plastic packaging bags for small commodities. The label will not crack when the bag is stretched or folded.

Agricultural-Aquatic-Products

Agricultural & Aquatic Products

Agricultural fresh products, seafood are usually stored in humid, low-temperature environment. PE waterproof labels can be attached to fresh-keeping bags, seafood plastic boxes. Resist water spray and surface moisture, fit irregular curved packaging for fruits, vegetables and seafood.

Frequently Asked Questions About PE Film Label Materials
1、What is the main difference between PE Film Label, PP Label and PET Label?
PE (Polyethylene) is soft, stretchable, best for curved surfaces and low temperature environment, poor heat resistance, maximum sustainable temperature around 60℃. PP (BOPP Polypropylene) moderate stiffness, balance of cost and performance, commonly used for normal food & cosmetic packaging, temperature resistance up to 80℃. PET (Polyester) rigid, high temperature resistant, chemical resistant, for industrial high-standard long-term marking. Selection guide: Low temperature / soft curved surface → PE; Normal packaging → PP; High temperature / industrial harsh environment → PET.
2、Can PE film labels be used in high-temperature environments?
Standard PE labels cannot withstand high temperature. Long-term working temperature should not exceed 60℃. Under high temperature, PE material will soften, deform and cause label wrinkles. If your application environment exceeds 60℃, we recommend switching to PP or PET label materials.
3、Is PE label suitable for direct thermal printing?
Plain PE film without coating cannot support direct thermal printing. PE labels are mainly suitable for thermal transfer printing, flexo printing and screen printing. We can customize coated thermal PE film upon request.
4、What adhesives are available for PE film labels?
We supply permanent adhesive and removable adhesive for PE labels. Permanent adhesive is for long-term labeling on plastic containers; removable adhesive leaves no residue when peeled off, suitable for temporary price tags and promotional labels. All sizes can be customized according to requirements.
5、Can PE labels be used outdoors for a long time?
Conventional PE film has weak anti-UV and anti-aging ability. Long-term outdoor exposure will lead to fading, embrittlement. PE labels are only suggested for short-term outdoor use. For long-term outdoor marking, PET film labels are the better choice.
6、Will PE label crack when pasted on extruded soft plastic bottles?
This is one of the biggest advantages of PE labels. Due to good flexibility and ductility, PE film can follow the expansion and extrusion of soft plastic bottles, effectively avoiding cracking which often happens with rigid PP and PET labels.
